Introduction to cameras and Health and safety tutorial

In our media lesson we was shown how to use the video cameras. We learnt how to fix the camera onto a tripod and how to take it off. We also leart how to lock the camera onto the tridod to protect the camera from getting damaged. We then learnt how to focus the cameras and zoom in and out and all other nessacary fuctions we needed to know for the camera.

LOCATIONS

This is London fields train station were we shot out opening scene, we chose this location because we didn't to film at a place that was very busy in the day time and this train station happened to be the one which was the most quietest of the ones we already knew, we didn't have to ask for permission but we just had to be aware of the camera and surroundings.

We also shot the other part of our scene in college, it was our teachers office. this was helpful because it made our scene come together, it was near enough to looking as a police department.

Conspiracy Thriller - Involves the conspiracy of lies and rumors, also secretive actions which are not told until the protagonist unfolds them.
Crime thriller - Has criminals who either succeed or fail in their criminal offenses, for example murders and robberies.
Disaster thriller - Often involves disasters to do with the world, like earthquakes and floods.
Drama thriller - its usually a serious story.
Science-fiction thriller - involves unworldly elements such as aliens and creatures
Horror thriller - Is when the main character of a film is being attacked by an enemy which either dead or alive.

Action thriller- Often has a lot of violence, an antagonist, guns and explosions.

Crime thriller- Focuses on a criminals and involves murders, robberies, chases and shootouts

Science-fiction thriller- Has Aliens and other out worldly things

Horror thriller- Involves unrealistic creatures and the main characters in danger

Religious thriller- Involves Religious objects, institutions and questions

Spy thriller- often has government agents , violent actions and terrorists

Drama thriller- has elements of a thriller film and has a twist e.g. The Illusionist, The Interpreter and The Prestige.

In this lesson we was basically taught how to use the functions on a camera and what there purposes are. We were then taught went wanting to film from far, focusing on a particular point not to zoom in to far otherwise the picture will be become out of focus. After learning about how to work and use the camera. We then learnt how to put the camera on the tripod and how to take it off, and the dangerous of not locking the camera on to the tripod.
